City Council voted 4-2 to table a proposed settlement of Thor's federal lawsuit for the second time; the next decision is set for Nov. 3, the same day voters decide a charter amendment banning data centers
Notes: Lead via The Data Center Debate. Thor sued, seeking more than $115 million, after the council passed a 12-month moratorium and repealed the zoning that allowed data centers in March. Under the proposed deal Thor would pay the city up to $50 million, give up tax abatements and pay for an environmental study covering nearby Cedar Bog. The site is at Ohio 55 and U.S. 68.
