Van Buren Township Planning Commission voted 5-1 to approve the final site plan for the 282-acre, nearly 1.5 million sq ft campus, letting Panattoni proceed with utility installation and site improvements

Notes: Planned near I-94 and I-275, east of Haggerty Road, about four miles west of Detroit Metro Airport. Projected to need about 1 GW of power. Preliminary site plan approval came in February 2026. Next steps: Panattoni says it hopes to break ground before the end of 2026, with construction-related utility work continuing into 2027. Residents raised concerns about noise, water use, dust and property values.
